Enjoy nature & sustainable facilities

Whichever pitch you choose you can be sure that no herbicides or chemicals have been used on our regional plants and trees.  Depending on the season our visitors are free to pick ripe and juicy organic fruit from our trees. Amongst others, you can bask in the shade of our olive trees, orange trees, mandarine trees, lemon trees, blackberry trees, eucalyptus, and fig. We only use a tractor for an ecological weed management approach. Our bathrooms have new automatic taps for less water waste and leakage. We have strict Cars not allowed in the campsite in high season. Even at the most popular period, we strive to keep our landscape respectful to nature with less emitted fumes. Our staff transports goods and moves around the campsite in Electric Golf carts. Our handymen use machinery which is battery operated so we cause no fumes or waste electric energy. We welcome swallows every spring and do not disrupt their nests with eggs laid in various areas all around the campsite every year. Our young campers enjoy seeing the young nestlings develop their new skills. We have replaced most lighting with LED energy-efficient lamps. We offer electrical and mountain bikes for a more nature-friendly way to transport yourself around the area

Mavrovouni beach

Directly outside the camping, you can have access to the sandy Mavrovouni beach which is 5km long and never crowded.

Our part of the beach is totally free from any artificial interference with no umbrellas or loungers. This way we welcome the endangered caretta caretta sea turtle to create nests and lay their eggs near the campsite. The local turtle protection society marks the nests and makes sure they are sheltered and visits us once a week to inform our campers through a presentation on the sea turtles’ activities.

Our children’s activities involve Scavenger Hunts on the beach with our staff members for discarded rubbish and educating the children on recycling and correct waste disposal.

Sustainable Leisure

Our swimming pool opens in April for you to enjoy a refreshing swim every day from 09:00 to 20:00 at no extra charge. It is for recreational purposes with a height of 1,40 meters, accessible to everyone. For our baby campers, there is also a smaller shallow paddling pool.

Our poolside tables have shady umbrellas and comfortable loungers where you can enjoy safe sunbathing with a view of the vast sea.

Benefit from an all-natural soothing experience, reclining on our built-in sunbeds next to the beach where seawater overflowing with minerals such as potassium, magnesium, chloride, and sodium relieves your body from tension and stress.

Our Bar offers a selection of fresh tasty snacks, delectable desserts, and thirst-quenching drinks to be enjoyed poolside. We have replaced our plastic utensils and cups with paper and wooden ones.

In the evenings in that area we organize beach volley, Fussball & ping pong contests among other campsites or between people our camping from different Countries.

Our Restaurant chooses to use fresh local products and our meals are prepared based on Mediterranean recipes using olive oil, local fresh meat and vegetables, and no artificial preservatives or frozen ready meals. We have introduced water filters in our kitchen and our staff encourages the use of refillable jugs.

Our team recycles all our recyclable waste, even our kitchen fruit and vegetable scraps are offered as a tasty snack to our thankful donkeys

Our mini market sells a variety of organic products under the Aelia and Neda label, our limited quantity award-winning organic extra virgin olive oil and olives as well as delicious handmade marmalades and honey.
